have, as probably the last person in the world, discovered the joy that is slate's today's papers. for me, no longer living in the us, this is of course perfect. not to mention fun. and inherently media-self-referencing.
there is thunder over London tonight - have never experienced one so powerful in the city. it seeks to rip zig-zag holes through the sky and fill them with electricity.
have always loved thunder - since I was a kid and I would get hot milk with honey whenever the lightning started radiating over the sky. have never lost that feeling. it's still my favorite weather. curl up indoors, get a blanket, send a shiver down your spine, roll your shoulders back with a pleasant shudder...whip up some egg toddy for you or someone else indoors with you

Ok, have had this blog up for 5 years and not used it at all, as can be seen below, just some test posts, but now I am going to start using this a bit more, actually publishing some links to interesting stuff.
Don't expect daily updates...but check in once in a while and see if there's any new fun stuff.
I'm interested in linking to interesting common occurences that seem to have an added significance. Preferably photos. Such as the entremedianas picture below, that kind of thing.
Btw, the scariest thing is that the first post is from 9/11. and it says "then there is nothing at this point". Weird stuff.
